To reach Machu Picchu, you need to take the official train service. Peru Rail offers relatively affordable train tickets, priced at around USD 70 per trip. Opting for a combination of bus and train can save you even more.

If you plan to make a day trip, it is recommended to take the bus departing at 3:20 am. This way, you can arrive at 7:40 am and make it in time for the 9:00 am entry. You can spend about two to three hours exploring the site, have lunch after descending, and then catch the 2:40 pm train back to Cusco.

Machu Picchu is a must-visit destination in life. Although the costs are relatively high, it is definitely worth the experience!
