Shikoku Aquarium opened in 2020 in Utazu Town, Kagawa Prefecture, the gateway to Shikoku^ ^
This next-generation aquarium in Shikoku is located in Utazu Marine Park near the Great Seto Bridge. The exhibition theme is "Shikoku Waterscape". The rich underwater world of Shikoku is reproduced with 70 waterscapes, including the Setouchi Inland Sea, the Pacific Ocean, freshwater, and six other zones, the "Kannazuki no Scenic View" shark shadow tank where you can look up at a scalloped hammerhead shark from below, and the "Urushio no Scenic View" which recreates whirlpools. Don't miss the dynamic dolphin playtime in the dolphin pool, or the cute sea lions and penguins during feeding time for creatures in the water play zone. There are also plenty of restaurants and cafes where Sanuki udon and fried bone-in chicken are popular, as well as museum shops.
