Getting there - We recommend renting a motorbike in Vang Vieng and following the GPS. The road is passable in the beginning, but later on, it's red dirt. Wearing a mask is recommended, as it's quite dusty.

Atmosphere/Location - Before reaching Pha Nam Sai, there's a parking area and entrance fee payment. There's a dirt lot for parking, and there are shops and restaurants. We recommend buying two bottles of water: one for the ascent and one for the descent. Bring your own bottle with you.

To ascend the cliff, we recommend starting before 4 PM. The climb can take some time, as the view downward is difficult at sunset. Dress appropriately and wear sneakers or hiking shoes. The cliff path is a natural path with wooden stakes to hold onto. Some sections are easy to climb, while others require a bit of climbing. Rest stops are provided at intervals. We recommend taking your time as you ascend. The path is densely forested, so don't worry about getting lost, as there's only one way up and down, and tourists are constantly coming and going. At some points, you may not be able to pass each other, requiring alternating ascents and descents. Before reaching the highest point, this section can be quite steep, so be extra careful. Once you reach the top, your fatigue will be gone. The surrounding scenery is worth millions, 360 degrees, with steep mountains alternating with flat terrain, and a stunning Phu Phan rock formation. At the top, there are photo spots and resting areas. The highlight is the motorcycle corner. There are two spots where you can go down to take photos. The weather is quite cool with a pleasant breeze. Tourists ascend and descend in groups. Be extra careful on the way down, as the path is dusty and slippery. Hold onto the bamboo railings. After descending, there's a faucet for washing your hands and brushing your teeth.
In summary, Pha Nam Sai is an outdoor, adventurous, and natural adventure trip. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys nature.
