Bold, Bright and Brilliant: Burano

On this small Venetian island the locals have taken to painting there houses in bright neon colours. Burano is an island in the Venetian lagoon, like Venice it has canals running through it but Burano’s brightly painted houses really make it stand out. From Venice you can take the Public Transport ferry to Burano. The journey time is approximately 50 minutes and is a very pleasant ride in itself. If you’re visiting Venice in 2025 make sure you visit Burano!
