【Venice】A Charming Day on Colorful Islands

If you're visiting Venice, don't miss the chance to explore its nearby islands. Both are vibrant and picturesque, offering a delightful experience. Here's a plan to visit these two enchanting islands!

【Burano Island】
Located about 40 minutes from Venice by water bus, Burano Island is a magical place filled with vibrant colors and a fairytale-like atmosphere. During winter, Venice is often shrouded in mist, turning everything white. To ensure they could identify their homes even on foggy days, the residents painted their houses in bright, distinctive colors. 😉

① Find your favorite door or house 🔍 (Photos 1, 4, & 6)
The colorful houses, each with unique walls, windows, and doors, are utterly charming. As you stroll through the streets, you'll find yourself wanting to capture their beauty in photos. Take a walk and discover your favorite house—you're bound to find one that steals your heart! 😚

② Admire the canal from the bridge (Photo 3)
The canals are adorned with bridges, offering stunning views of boats lined up along the waterways and the vibrant houses. From the bridge, you can snap breathtaking photos of this picturesque scene 📸. The locals use boats for transportation, and every house has one parked in front. Capturing videos of boats passing under the bridge is also a great idea!

③ Dine at a central restaurant (Photos 2 & 5)
For lunch, head to one of the restaurants in the town center. There's a cluster of eateries where you can savor Italian cuisine 🍝🍕. Outdoor terrace seating is highly recommended!

④ Enjoy a meal by the sea in the southern part of the island
The area where the water bus arrives is along the coastline, featuring a few cafes nearby. It's surprisingly less crowded, allowing you to relax and enjoy views of the Venetian sea. A leisurely walk along the shore while admiring Venice is also a wonderful option!

【Murano Island】
Located just 15 minutes from Venice by water bus, Murano Island is a perfect stop on your way back from Burano. The houses here are more subdued compared to Burano, with many featuring orange hues (Photo 8).

Murano Island is renowned for its Murano Venetian glass. You'll find numerous glass shops offering adorable glassware and trinkets. Even just browsing is a delightful experience ☺️. Be sure to pick up some traditional Venetian glass as a souvenir!

These colorful towns are sure to brighten your mood. Don't miss the chance to visit them!
