Dishuitan Waterfall, located in Guanling County, 8 kilometers west of Huangguoshu Waterfall, boasts a remarkable combination of height, size, number, beauty, and uniqueness. It leads the Huangguoshu Waterfall complex in both overall height and individual waterfalls. Dishuitan Waterfall consists of three waterfalls: Liantian Waterfall at the top, Chongkeng Waterfall in the middle, and Gaotan Waterfall at the bottom.
Here, two mountains face each other: Dapoding to the east and Guansuoling to the west. Between them lies the 700- meter-deep Baling River Gorge, where the waterfall hangs cascading down from the peak. At 410 meters, Dishuitan Waterfall is six times higher than Huangguoshu Waterfall, with its lowest tier at 134 meters. Standing at Dapoding and gazing out across the waterfall, it resembles a celestial being in a white dress, gracefully emerging from the vast expanse of cold green.
The waterfalls are unique in their shape. The top of the waterfall is just a 3.5-meter-wide canyon rock channel, while the bottom reaches a width of 45 meters. Because it is deep within the canyon and is often hidden by cliffs, it appears and disappears. In some places, only the sound of the waterfall can be heard, making it difficult to see its full appearance, which makes it even more mysterious and wonderful.
Summer and autumn, when there is more rain, are the best times to see waterfalls.

Dishuitan Waterfall is located in Anshun, Guizhou. It can be accessed by taxi from Anshun city center or by bus, with the nearest bus station being in the town of Zhenning. Walking is not recommended as the area is not well-connected by pedestrian paths.
The waterfall is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The best times to visit are in spring and autumn when the weather is mild and the waterfall is at its most picturesque, with water levels being higher after rainfall.
The entrance fee is approximately 40 RMB per person. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance, and some online platforms like Ctrip may offer ticket bookings in advance.
It is not necessary to book tickets in advance, but doing so during peak tourist seasons or holidays may help avoid long queues. Booking 1-2 days in advance is recommended.
A visit to Dishuitan Waterfall typically takes around 1-2 hours. You can spend more time if you choose to hike the trails or enjoy a picnic at the waterfall.
Guided tours are available in Mandarin. You can ask at the entrance for a guide if required. Audio guides are not commonly offered.
Start at the main entrance and follow the paved paths to the primary viewing platform. From there, you can take a scenic walk along the designated trails leading to other viewpoints. A circular route around the waterfall ensures you experience the best views.
Night visits are not typically available at Dishuitan Waterfall. There are no light shows or special tours in the evening, as the site is primarily visited during daylight hours.
The site can become crowded during weekends and public holidays. The least crowded times are on weekdays, particularly in the morning before noon.
Basic facilities such as toilets, rest areas, and small kiosks offering snacks and drinks are available near the entrance. However, there are no large restaurants or shops inside the park.
The paths to the main viewing area are paved, but the trails can be challenging for elderly or disabled visitors. Children will enjoy the walk, but some sections of the trail may require adult supervision.
Cash is accepted, but mobile payments such as WeChat Pay and Alipay are commonly used. Credit cards are not widely accepted at the site.
There are no large restaurants inside the park, but several small eateries near the entrance offer local Guizhou dishes, including rice and noodle options.

The Huangguoshu Waterfall, another famous natural site in Guizhou, is located nearby and can easily be combined with a visit to Dishuitan Waterfall for a day trip.
There are a few souvenir shops near the entrance selling local crafts such as hand-woven textiles, postcards, and small souvenirs related to the waterfalls.
Taxi or private car is the most convenient option to continue your trip from Dishuitan Waterfall to nearby attractions or the city center. Public transportation options are also available from Anshun city.
