Museum quest

A local family used to run this modest museum, which is now home to the Kanchana Boutique. It has now evolved into one of Vientiane's most important cultural attractions, and is now centered on a lovely little Laotian complex. A typical wooden house stocked with ancient weaving tools and looms, as well as historical fabrics representing the numerous ethnic groups in Laos, can be found here. You can also take a textile painting lesson if you want to get your hands dirty.
