Phou Bia is located at the southernmost point of the Xiengkhuang Plateau in Xaisomboun Province, Laos.

It is 2,819 meters (9,249 feet) above sea level, approximately 254 meters higher than Doi Inthanon in Thailand.

Phou Bia is consistently cold and foggy.
