"Wattay Airport" is only an 8-minute drive from the hotel in the city center. There are 2 hours and 40 minutes until departure. First, I tried to exchange the remaining Lao money, but the exchange office told me that Lao money cannot be exchanged for foreign currency. In fact, Lao kip (Lao currency) is a currency that cannot be exchanged anywhere outside the country. This means that I have no choice but to use it up or exchange it at a store that will exchange it for dollars. I managed to exchange it for dollars, but I still had plenty of time. I popped into the only cafe in the boarding area, "DEX COFFEE". I ordered a beautiful red cake called "Red Valent", and it was very delicious. Lao cakes are the same as Japanese cakes that are not too sweet, so they suit Japanese people! Finally, we boarded. It was time to say goodbye to Laos, where I had made many discoveries! 🇱🇦
