Dolomites — The Sky That Listened

✨ The Dolomites looked like the sky decided to touch earth. 🏔️ We took the train from Bolzano to Val di Funes (~€10 pp) and rented a car to explore meadows painted gold by autumn.

🚶 Start your morning at Santa Maddalena Church, framed by the Odle peaks. Then drive to Lago di Braies (parking €8) and rent a wooden boat (~€50/hour) to float across emerald water — pure calm. Spend the afternoon hiking the Alpe di Siusi plateau, Europe’s highest alpine meadow, where the wind hums like a love song.

🍷 Lunch at Rifugio Emilio Comici (near Selva di Val Gardena, €35 pp) with alpine char and polenta under a sea of peaks. Stay overnight at Forestis Dolomites (€640/night), all glass and silence, where sunrise enters your room like a secret.

💡 Pro Tip: Visit mid-October for golden larches and crisp air. Book gondola passes online to skip queues and catch early light — it’s photographer’s heaven. As night fell, and mountains turned violet, I knew love is what stays even when the world changes color.
