The zoo opened in the Taisho era, there are no ferocious beasts in it, and it has been loved by local residents for 100 years. The zoo is located in Wakayama Castle Park, at the foot of Wakayama Castle. Currently, there are about 50 species and about 155 animals in the park, almost all of which are tame mammals, birds and reptiles.

Transportation strategy: Take a bus from JR Wakayama Station to "Wakayama Castle-mae" station, the journey takes about 10 minutes; take a bus from Nankai Electric Railway Wakayama City Station to "Wakayama Castle-mae" station, the journey takes about 10 minutes.
