Day 4 Breaking News: Wakayama 2023

Day 4️⃣ of the trip

Quick Report

Had a quick breakfast at the hotel and then set off. We didn't drive for the first half of the day. We used a one-day pass on the Wakayama Electric Railway 🚃. The highlights were a few unique trains and a visit to the "Cat Station Captain" 🐱.

The fourth-generation Tama at Idakiso Station 🐱 and the second-generation Tama at Kishi Station 🐱. They all worked today. We saw them all 🥰 (though the second-generation Tama seemed to be asleep).

After returning to the hotel to pick up the car, we went to the laundry. This was my first time visiting a large coin laundry in Japan 💦. It was super convenient and inexpensive.

Go again. Nagahama Ramen 🍜
Jon 👦🏻 had a kids' meal with a small bowl of ramen, six dumplings, and a pudding dessert 🍮. It was just under 600 yen.

Afterwards, we went shopping at Shimamura and Seria 🛍️.
Then we headed to the most fun place of this trip: Tento Mushi Park.

Membership is 550 yen per person, plus 1900 yen for three hours of fun. There's a huge trampoline park, rock climbing 🧗, and all-you-can-do bowling 🎳 (shoe rental is an additional 300 yen).
There's also karaoke 🎤...
And drinks. All-you-can-drink at the bar 🥤⋯⋯

After the discharge, we discovered heavy snow when we picked up the car. ❄️

Dinner was Kura Sushi 🍣
Afterwards, we went to the 24-hour LAMU supermarket in the snow to stock up.

Then we returned to the hotel 🏨
