Tucked on 7 Lorong Dewan, just off Gaya Street in Kota Kinabalu’s heart, The Art Attic is an elevated arts-and-lifestyle concept space—combining gallery, gift shop, café corner, and creative workshop hub. I spent about 45 minutes exploring its quiet charm and local flair.
⸻
🏠 Atmosphere & Layout
Housed on the top floor of heritage shophouses, the space features exposed concrete walls, minimalist shelving, and a bright, open-plan feel. The ground floor feels like a curated marketplace, while upstairs reveals cozy teal armchairs, butterfly-filled stairwells, and rotating art, crafts, and local boutique items.
⸻
🎨 What I Discovered

• Gentle curation & passion-led staff: Artworks and souvenirs feel thoughtfully displayed—you sense the love for Sabah’s craft scene.
• Mini workshops & events: Hosts regular candle-, pottery-, and craft-making sessions as well as exhibitions aiming to nurture local creativity. ()
