World Heritage Site, Wieliczka Salt Mine, Poland

Wieliczka Salt Mine is a former salt mine in Poland. It is now a designated World Heritage Site.
You can get there by bus from Krakow Central Station. It is recommended to reserve your admission ticket in advance.
The inside is made of rock salt, so the walls are salty if you lick them.
When you enter the cave, it is dimly lit and has a somewhat sad atmosphere.
There are many Christian sculptures on the walls and a chapel, so you can imagine that these were necessary for the lives of the people who worked here.
