Immerse yourself in the beauty of the sunset at high altitude

Qingliangzhai, located in the northwest of Huangpi, has an average altitude of over 600 meters. It's the highest and northernmost scenic spot in Wuhan, and many people stay overnight every day to watch the sunrise at Xifeng Ancient Village. 🌄

Xifeng Ancient Village is the highest point in Qingliangzhai (620 meters above sea level), and both sunrise and sunset are breathtaking.💫

We chose to hike up the mountain to catch the sunset. 🌅 We arrived at the scenic area entrance around 4:00 PM and hiked up the mountain, passing Tongtian Lake and Jiuzui Lake along the way. We then took a flying magic carpet ride to the scenic area exit.

The climb from the scenic area exit to Xifeng Ancient Village takes half an hour.🉐

If you'd rather avoid the climb but still want to catch the sunset, here's a simple guide: drive directly to the scenic area exit🏞 and then hike up to Xifeng Ancient Village.

Whether you're watching the sunrise or catching the sunset, I recommend staying overnight in Qingliangzhai. There are two main guesthouses on the mountain near Xifeng Ancient Village.

"Shan You Mu Xi" 🚩, newly completed and opened this year, is the closest B&B to Xifeng, offering sweeping views of the lake, mountains, windmills, and sunsets.

"Shadow Planet" 🚩, resembling a "space capsule," is built on a mountain over 600 meters high. With 270-degree floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, you can sleep amidst the mountains and water.

The mountain scenery is breathtaking! Sharing some beautiful photos for everyone to enjoy! 📸
