Wuhan in October is crisp and refreshing, with the fragrance of osmanthus in the air, a cool river breeze, and the phoenix trees turning yellow. It's neither stuffy nor dry, making it the perfect golden season to travel with parents or friends!
🗓 Itinerary
Day 1: Climb Yellow Crane Tower + Yangtze River Night View
Arrive in the morning at Hankou Station/Tianhe Airport, take the subway directly to check into a riverside hotel near the river beach (💰600/night).
In the afternoon, climb the Yellow Crane Tower to overlook the Yangtze River. Under the clear autumn sky, the "First Tower under Heaven" shows its grandeur (ticket 70 RMB).
At dusk, stroll to the Yangtze River Bridge’s bridgehead to watch the sunset.
At night, take the Zhiyin cruise for a night tour of the Yangtze River (ticket 150 RMB), immersing yourself in the old Hankou charm.
Day 2: East Lake Cycling + In-depth Visit to Hubei Provincial Museum
Early morning rent a bike at the East Lake Greenway (20 RMB/hour).
From the Tingtao area to Moshanshan, the autumn leaves are colorful, and the lake and mountain scenery is super healing.
In the afternoon, visit the Hubei Provincial Museum (free, reservation required) to see the Sword of Goujian, the Marquis Yi Bells, and be amazed by the millennia-old Chu culture.
In the evening, stroll through Hubu Alley. No need to eat too much; we recommend Cai Lin Ji’s hot dry noodles and lotus root soup, all for about 50 RMB per person.
Day 3: Half-day Art Tour of Lihuangpi Road + Return Trip
Sleep in, then check out the old concession area of Lihuangpi Road.
Coffee shops, small art galleries, and vintage walls make for great photo spots.
On the way, buy some Zhou Hei Ya and Jingwu duck neck as souvenirs. Take the high-speed train or flight back, relaxed and unhurried.
