I have always believed that money can buy the best things, which is a wonderful experience, the kind of experience that leaves memories. This time on my hotel exploration trip in Xi'an, I learned another fact, that all luxury hotels (ultra-five-star hotels, such as JW Marriott, Grand Hyatt, and even more high-end hotels such as The Ritz-Carlton) are loss-making businesses, and it is almost impossible for hotel owners to recoup their investment during their lifetime. The reason why so many luxury hotels are still being built one after another is usually because real estate developers want to obtain other projects, improve the surrounding energy level, and provide high-end service attributes to the area as a trade-off. A calculation can also show that the construction cost of hotels such as The Ritz-Carlton may be dozens of times that of the profitable Atour, while the room rate is only a few times higher (in Xi'an, a luxury hotel price depression, it is even only 3 times higher). So although luxury hotels seem very expensive, from this perspective, it is really a very cost-effective thing to have a group of people providing you with such an ultimate experience without making money. The Ritz-Carlton, Xi'an is a pearl in the Ganjiazhai area of Xi'an High-tech Zone. The hotel building is adjacent to the high-end commercial Zhongda International, and the same plot is Zhongda International No. 9, known as Xi'an's Tomson Riviera. There is also Xi'an's best Gaoxin No. 1 High School and Muta Temple Wanda high-end community nearby. This configuration makes me feel more like Shenzhen Bay No. 1 and Pengrui Raffles in Shenzhen.
The first impression of The Ritz-Carlton, Xi'an is that it is a small and exquisite high-end hotel. The hotel's exterior and lobby are very modern and luxurious!
