A day in central Xi’an!

This trip to Xi'an really made me deeply feel the heritage of the "ancient capital of thirteen dynasties". A city that blends history and modernity so naturally that you can travel through the ruins of the imperial city thousands of years ago, or immerse yourself in shocking performances at night.

Day 1|Travel through history: Shaanxi History Museum + Restaurant recommendations
Shaanxi History Museum
• Address: No. 91, Xiaozhai East Road, Yanta District, Xi'an
• Tickets: Free to visit (but reservations must be made online in advance); special exhibitions require payment, ranging from RMB 30 to 50
• Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday 9:00–17:30 (closed on Mondays)
• Recommended reason: One of China's top historical museums, with rich collections, especially the impressive Tang Sancai and Han Dynasty gold artifacts.
Lunch/dinner recommendation: Three Electric Poles Shaanxi Cuisine
• Address: No. 74, Nanyuanmen, Beilin District, Xi'an (near the Bell Tower, convenient transportation)
• Recommended dishes:
• Gourd Chicken: Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, a classic Xi'an dish
• Freshly caught bamboo shoots: crisp and refreshing, a pleasant surprise to the eyes and the taste buds
• Shaanxi Liangpi: moderately sour and spicy, one of the favorite snacks of locals

Day 2|Shocking scene: Terracotta Warriors + Song of Everlasting Regret performance
Qin Shi Huang Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum
• Address: Qinling North Road, Lintong District, Xi'an
• Tickets: 120 yuan for adults (including the Qin Mausoleum Underground Palace)
• Opening hours: 8:30–17:30 daily
• Reason for recommendation: As one of the eight wonders of the world, the scale and details of the First Pit are shocking and worth appreciating slowly.
Evening Performance: Song of Everlasting Regret (Inside Huaqing Palace)
• Address: No. 38 Huaqing Road, Lintong District, Xi'an (within Huaqing Hot Spring Scenic Area)
• Ticket price: Regular tickets are about 298-688 yuan (depending on the seat)
• Performance time: 20:10 daily from March to October (no performance in winter)
• Reason for recommendation: The real landscape stage is combined with a love story from the Tang Dynasty. The music, choreography and lighting are amazing.

Day 3|Silk Road Stories and Cultural Experience: Camel Bell Legend + Reliving the Authentic Shaanxi Flavor
Legend of the Camel Bell (Performed in Tang Paradise, Xi'an)
• Address: No. 99, Ci'en West Road, Yanta District, Xi'an, Tang Paradise Ziyun Tower Theater
• Ticket price: Regular tickets are around 238-588 yuan
• Show time: usually 19:30 every night (advance booking recommended)
• Reason for recommendation: With the Silk Road as the theme, it interprets the cultural exchange between the Western Regions and the Central Plains, and combines dance and music to create a wonderful show.
Revisit: Three Electric Poles or Muslim Street Snacks
• If there is still time, you can revisit the Three Electric Poles Restaurant, or go to Muslim Street to experience the bustling market and more Shaanxi snacks such as roujiamo, yangroupaomo, and jinggao.
