Xi'an is a prefecture-level city under Shaanxi Province, serving as a national central city, sub-provincial city, and one of China's megacities. Located in the Guanzhong Basin along the middle reaches of the Yellow River, it enjoys a warm temperate semi-humid continental monsoon climate. As the starting point of the Silk Road, Xi'an boasts over 3,100 years of urban history and served as a capital for more than 1,100 years, making it China's ancient capital with the earliest establishment, most dynasties, and longest duration, earning it the title "Library of Chinese History."
