🏖️ Must-Visit Attractions
The Xi'an City Wall: You don't necessarily have to walk on top of the wall; strolling along the base is equally beautiful. However, if you have time, it's recommended to explore both the top and the bottom. Walking along the base offers a scenic view of the city and a canal adorned with beautiful lights, while the top provides a panoramic view of the surroundings. Both experiences are unique. The facilities, including restrooms, are very clean, so no need to worry.
🥘 Delicious Food
Huangmen Chicken (Huangmen Ji): Xi'an is known for its noodle culture, but if you're craving rice after a few days, this dish is highly recommended. It's a flavorful stir-fried chicken dish with a hint of Chinese wine, reminiscent of ginger chicken but with a distinct Chinese twist. It's incredibly tasty and budget-friendly, costing just 1.4 yuan per plate. You can choose the level of spiciness: mild, medium, or hot.
🏠 Accommodation
1. Ibis Hotel Xi'an (Xi'an Bell Tower Metro Station)
This hotel is very convenient for getting around, earning a top score for location. However, the bed comfort is rated 4 out of 5. If you stay on the Ibis Styles side, be aware that rooms facing outward might overlook office buildings where people work all day, leaving you with no privacy to open the curtains. We requested to move to a quieter side, which was much better. The breakfast is bland but reasonably priced with plenty of options. It's typical of Chinese breakfasts, which are generally mild in flavor. As foreigners, we might not be used to it, especially since in our country, we can enjoy spicy papaya salad for breakfast.
