Encountering Jimei's Ten-Mile Embankment, Embracing the Gentleness of Xiamen

When traveling to Xiamen, Jimei's Ten-Mile Embankment is an absolute must-visit. As I stepped out of Jimei Xuecun Metro Station and walked a short distance, the long-awaited Ten-Mile Embankment came into view.

The afternoon sun gently spilled onto the sea, its shimmering surface like countless tiny diamonds glinting. The sea breeze, carrying the ocean's unique scent, lightly brushed against my cheeks, instantly dispelling the fatigue of the journey. Strolling along the embankment, I could see the bustling traffic on Xinglin Bridge in the distance, its silhouette strikingly clear against the backdrop of blue sky and sea, forming a harmonious picture of movement and stillness. Not far away, the ancient Longwang Temple stood quietly, creating a fascinating contrast with the modern metro speeding past, as if whispering tales of time, evoking a sense of awe at the passage of years.

What I looked forward to most was the sunset at the embankment. As evening approached, the sky gradually turned orange-red, with the sun resembling a giant salted egg yolk slowly descending toward the horizon. At this moment, the entire world was bathed in this warm hue, dreamlike in its beauty. Many photography enthusiasts had already set up their "big guns" to capture this fleeting spectacle, and I quickly took out my phone, eager to freeze this beauty in time.

As night fell, the trunk markets along the embankment came alive. Stalls emitted cozy lights, selling all kinds of snacks and trinkets. I bought a cup of rich, freshly ground coffee, found a spot to sit, and listened to soft music while admiring the brilliantly lit embankment and the sparkling sea. My heart was filled with contentment. Here, not only is there breathtaking scenery, but also a vibrant sense of daily life. Every detail makes you feel the unique charm of Xiamen, leaving you reluctant to leave.
