A must-stay hotel in Xiamen!!!

Check out the newly opened Xiamen Baiqi Courtyard by Marriott in 2020, which brings many surprises from the rooms to the service! As a rare Marriott-affiliated sea-view hotel on the island, its high-quality experience has completely refreshed my perception of the Courtyard brand.

🏘️ Room Type/Layout: The hotel rooms exude modern minimalist aesthetics, perfectly inheriting Courtyard's classic design style. Although I didn't upgrade to a suite, the executive sea-view room was stunning—offering a breathtaking view of Xiamen's inner sea and the neon lights of the Jimei Bridge across the water. The spacious room layout is a standout among Courtyard hotels, with cleverly planned circulation for ultimate comfort. The most captivating feature was the bathtub, which I'd call the "dream tub" of all the hotels I've stayed in.

🌟 Service: From the warm welcome upon arrival to the thoughtful farewell at checkout, the service was impeccable. Among Courtyard properties, this hotel's service stands out as exceptional, surpassing even the Haicang Taidi Courtyard outside the island, with meticulous attention to detail.

🍴 Dining: As one of the few Courtyard hotels with an executive lounge, the food offerings, though streamlined, are refined. While different from traditional five-star hotels, the quality is still commendable. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring a rich selection of local specialties that perfectly met Courtyard brand expectations.

🛌 Amenities/Facilities: The hotel's facilities meet Marriott's five-star standards, even exceeding expectations in areas like the pool, sauna, and jacuzzi—outperforming some older Marriott properties and delivering a surprisingly premium experience.

🌊 Location/Transport: Boasting a prime sea-view location, the hotel offers stunning vistas as one of the few island sea-view properties. However, its location is somewhat unique: ideal for visiting Jimei and Xiang'an but farther from core attractions like Gulangyu Island and Zhongshan Road. Proximity to Gaoqi Industrial Park and the airport is a plus, though taxis still take about 15 minutes. While commercial amenities nearby are limited, the tranquil setting and unparalleled sea views create a relaxing retreat.

🧹 Soundproofing/Cleanliness: Excellent soundproofing and meticulous housekeeping ensured a peaceful and worry-free stay.

💗 Additional Tips: Book a sea-view room in advance to fully enjoy Xiamen's inner sea; don’t miss the exquisite snacks in the executive lounge; plan travel time carefully for visits to major attractions.

Overall, Xiamen Baiqi Courtyard by Marriott stands out in the Marriott portfolio with its superior sea views, exceptional service, and great value. Whether for business or leisure, it promises a comfortable and memorable stay.
