Bringing European-style estates into the city | Introduction to Xiamen Waldorf Astoria

|Introduction to Xiamen Waldorf Astoria. [Sunset] The Xiamen Waldorf Astoria opened in 2020, with interior design by ABConcept, STICKLAND, and D'Lab (Hilton Group seems to have an inexplicable obsession with combo design approaches, as many of their projects feature such decisions, and they all seem to blend quite well—credit to their aesthetic sensibilities). The architecture was designed by Aedas (the clean, crisp lines of the exterior facade are not something just any firm can achieve).

[Highway] Public Areas
Unfortunately, this visit was brief, but it's safe to say that the public areas of the Xiamen Waldorf Astoria are flawlessly beautiful and remarkably spacious. With six restaurants/bars alone, it stands out even among today’s luxury hotels—each dining venue occupies nearly an entire floor. The wellness/SPA area also showcases meticulous design and thoughtful layout.

The SPA and gym occupy an entire floor, with a design so refined it could be described as palatial. While the ceiling height doesn’t quite match palace standards, the lighting design and decorative hardware are masterfully crafted at every turn. If time permits, be sure to soak in the ambiance here.

[Goggles] The pool is located in an outdoor rooftop garden [Scenic], where the arched design extensions and lush greenery of the expansive lawn create an estate-like elegance and natural beauty.

Summary
The Xiamen Waldorf Astoria is often hailed as the flagship property of Greater China, and in my opinion, its design truly lives up to that title. Every detail is impeccably executed, with no unattractive spots in the public areas—each corner is incredibly photogenic.
