The hotel exudes luxury and sophistication throughout, with impeccable design in the public areas. Both the public spaces and guest rooms are stunning! Every corner of the hotel is perfect for endless photo opportunities—you simply can't stop taking pictures!
The concierge and front desk staff are super friendly and respond very quickly.
I really like the overall decoration style of the hotel and rooms; it looks very high-end. I think it can easily outshine the Conrad Xiamen.
The hotel gym is open 24 hours, and the hotel pool is a major highlight—definitely a must-visit spot.
Room: I stayed in the VIP View Room, which is 60 square meters and very spacious. Upon entering, there is a foyer; the bathroom is on the left, and the bedroom is inside. The deep green marble looks very upscale. Amenities are from Aesop, the toilet is a Toto washlet, and the faucets and shower are contemporary. The bedding is very comfortable, and the slippers are high quality, showing the owner’s generous investment. The minibar is free but only includes two bottles of sparkling water and some snacks. The welcome gift was the signature red velvet cake, which was delicious.
Dining: The Waldorf Astoria does not have a lounge, so in the evening I went to the Eighth Market for seafood. The breakfast room is beautiful, and the desserts are very tasty. Breakfast is a combination of à la carte and buffet, ending at 11 am, but the variety is somewhat limited.
Service: When the car arrived, someone opened the door and took my luggage. The front desk lady was very attentive and patiently explained the hotel and its facilities. The concierge lady stayed nearby waiting and kindly escorted me to my room after check-in.
Overall, it was very comfortable with great attention to detail. The hotel has a beautiful outdoor pool, but it was privately booked on the day I visited. I took a photo at night. The sky garden is also very pretty.
Leisure and Entertainment
The hotel also features a spa center and a fitness center equipped with advanced facilities, open 24 hours, including a sauna, steam room, and fitness studio.

Hotel Surroundings
The hotel is located in the central area of Xiamen Island, making it very convenient to get around.
Right downstairs is Lotus Park, and there are many restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Staying here allows you to explore many long-established shops that have been open for over a decade—any one of them is a great choice.
It’s also very convenient for trips to Gulangyu Island, Xiamen Botanical Garden, and Nanputuo Temple, all of which are nearby.
