Travel Notes of Yushan Island

Yushan is very nice. Every trip is endowed with emotional value by oneself. There is no such thing as worth or not worth, only whether you feel good or not!
First, call to book a ticket to Yushan Island. Currently, there are only fast boat tickets available at 220 per person, half price for children under 1.2 meters. The journey takes 100 minutes. Stand at the ticket gate in advance so you can board the boat first and choose a seat at the back. If you get seasick, be sure to prepare seasickness medicine. I was vomiting from start to finish, it was too uncomfortable.
Secondly, book a homestay online. As for which homestay is good, the resources on the island are limited, and the conditions for accommodation and food are not very good. You can bring self-heating rice or instant noodles. The fried noodles and seafood noodles on the island are relatively cost-effective. Of course, it's September, the fishing ban has been lifted, and if you want to eat seafood, you can eat it at the homestay, and negotiate the price with the owner.
We arrived on the island at 3 pm. The homestay owner arranged a tricycle to pick us up at the pier. After arranging the accommodation and resting for a while, you can take the children to the shallow water area of the bay to play in the water around 4 pm. Bring swimming gear. Or go to the rocks to pick up snails and crabs, which children love the most.
After dinner, take a stroll nearby. If there are many people, you can go to the camping site or the lighthouse, Xianren Bridge. It is said that the chance of seeing blue tears at Xianren Bridge at midnight is relatively high. We didn't go because we had children with us. The road is hard to find at night, and there are very tall grasses on both sides of the road. We were afraid of insect bites, so we only went to the nearby camping site to have a look.
Get up early the next day to watch the sunrise (you can check the sunrise time on your phone first). The scenery at the sea level at sunrise is completely different from looking at pictures. After the sunrise, go back to wash up, have breakfast, and then go to see the lighthouse and Xianren Bridge, and circle the island. The island is not big, it takes about two hours to walk around (this is with children, walking and stopping).
After circling the island, go back to the homestay to rest for a while. We took the 3 pm boat back, so after resting, we took the children to the nearby rocks to catch crabs. We happened to meet the homestay owner who was taking out the fish traps. The colorful fish that the owner didn't want could be given to the children to play with. There are many crabs, small jellyfish, snails, and small shells in the crevices of the rocks.
This is a one-day trip with children. Clear water and blue sky, a super visual feast.
