This isn't Iceland, but a magical island in China that I visited this year.

🌈 Highlights:
Located in Xiangshan, Hua'ao Island is home to many bays and spectacular landforms. The cliffs are steep, and there are many rock columns. The rock layers are slanted and horizontal, making you feel like you're in Iceland.

Stone Forest Scenic Area: CNY 40. Discounts are available for advance bookings.
If you drive to the island, you will need to pay a CNY 70 round-trip ferry fee.
If you travel to the island alone, you will need to pay a CNY 10 round-trip ferry fee.
🕐️ Opening hours:
You must take a ferry to the island. The last ferry departs at 17:15. Make sure you catch this ferry, or you won't be able to leave the island.
💗 Other tips:
We recommend driving to the island, as there are no taxis on the island.
The facilities on the island are relatively simple, so we recommend a day trip.
There are some food stalls at the entrance to the scenic area that sell simple food.
Check the weather and tide times in advance. Cloudy days are better for taking photos.
