If you only have one or two days off, I definitely recommend you visit Siguniang Mountain, where you can enjoy various landscapes such as snow-capped mountains, lakes, forests, and meadows all in one place! Truly the backyard garden of Chengdu!
🌟【Scenic Area Features】
✅ The title "Little Switzerland of Western Sichuan" is well-deserved! Beautiful in all seasons, lush green in spring and summer, colorful forests in autumn, and snow-covered in winter
✅ Sightseeing bus throughout + boardwalk hiking, super friendly for lazy people and beginners
✅ Altitude of 3,840 meters, less likely to cause altitude sickness, suitable for first-time plateau experience
❤️Spot Introduction
Shuangqiao Valley is the most developed and easiest to explore among the three valleys of Siguniang Mountain, very suitable for family trips. It is known as the "Exhibition of Peaks and Gallery of Gorges." The valley is 34.8 kilometers long and can be toured entirely by sightseeing bus.
🚗 Must-visit small spots
🌱 Redwood Forest: Located at the end of the valley at 3,840 meters altitude, it is the largest original redwood forest in Western Sichuan. The tall redwoods contrast beautifully with the snow mountains, and in winter, it looks like a fairy tale world covered in silver
🌱 Budala Peak: Known as the "Little Potala Palace" of China, its unique rock formation resembles a Tibetan-style palace. Standing at the extension of the highway and shooting with a telephoto lens, you can capture stunning road photos
🌱 Sigunacao Lake: Legend says it is the sacred lake where the Four Sisters bathed. The water is clear, reflecting the snow mountains and gorges like a mirror. There are also dead trees by the lake, making it an excellent spot for Tibetan-style photography
🌱 Nianyu Dam: This is a semi-marsh area with graceful sea buckthorn forests. You can also experience rafting, enjoying the beautiful scenery on both sides of the water and feeling the pleasure of "the boat drifting on water, people walking in a painting"
🌱 Ginseng Fruit Meadow: The end of the Shuangqiao Valley glacier landform, with hundreds of acres of large meadows. In spring and summer, various alpine flowers cover the grassland, and cattle and sheep roam freely, full of natural wild charm
🌸 Hidden Spot: Zhugana Lake (no sightseeing bus stop, get off at Budala Peak and walk back about 1 kilometer)
👗【Dressing Suggestions】
✅ Light colors! White/blue/pink dresses + straw hat, full of fairy vibes
✅ Outdoor jacket + inner layer (plateau weather is changeable, windproof and warmth are very important)
✅ Comfortable sports shoes/hiking shoes (needed for boardwalk hiking)
✅ Sunglasses + sunscreen (UV rays are very strong!)

☑️ Notes
❗ Altitude sickness: The scenic area altitude ranges from 2,900 to 3,840 meters, prepare in advance for altitude resistance. Avoid strenuous exercise during the trip, stop and rest immediately if you feel unwell
❗ Sightseeing bus schedule: The bus operates for limited hours, don’t miss the last bus. You can arrange your own stop times at each station, but plan your itinerary reasonably
❗ Environmental protection: The beautiful scenery needs everyone’s joint effort to maintain. Take your trash with you and do not damage flowers, plants, or trees casually
