🚄 High-speed train from Chengdu to Xichang takes 3 hours. Download the “Yuecheng Bus” app for easy access to all attractions. You can also rent a small electric scooter 🛵, which is really convenient. Riding around Qionghai Lake is so relaxing!

🏨 About accommodation: Stay in downtown Xichang, where accommodations are cost-effective and not far from Qionghai Lake.

🗺️ Lazy travel route:
Day 1️⃣: Dream back to the Tang Dynasty — Xichang Tang Garden
Arrive in Xichang at noon, then visit Tang Garden in the afternoon. It’s recommended to change into a Hanfu outfit and makeup first. Stroll slowly around Huaiyuan Tower, Sunshui Bridge with its scenic pavilions and corridors, small bridges, and flowing water. Every photo spot looks like a classical masterpiece!
After 7 PM, Tang Garden lights up at night with colorful and changing lights on Huaiyuan Tower, dazzling and magnificent, echoing the “Giant Moon Installation” on the city wall. At that moment, you suddenly understand the artistic conception of “A Moon Over Chang’an”—it’s truly beautiful!!

When tired, head to the food street gathering delicacies from all over. Any restaurant you pick tastes great, no risk of disappointment. Sit with friends at a lakeside folk music bar, listen to songs, eat barbecue, sip drinks, and enjoy the night view of Tang Garden—it’s so cozy!
During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, Xichang Tang Garden hosts many events: red song flash mobs, metaverse poetry plays, national style music and dance… You might even encounter Li Bai reciting poetry and guessing riddles, immersing yourself in the Tang Dynasty atmosphere to celebrate the motherland!!!

Day 2️⃣: 🏝️ Encounter island vibes
Diaoyutai — Qionghai Hotel — “Jeju Island Branch” — Tingtaogu — Style Town
The sunrise at Qionghai Lake is breathtaking. It’s recommended to arrive at “Diaoyutai” by 7:30 AM to take atmospheric photos of the purple sky over the wooden boardwalk by Qionghai Lake—romantic beyond words!
Walk along the lakeside towards Qionghai Hotel, taking photos along the way—it’s stunningly beautiful. At “Qionghai Hotel” and “Moonlight Town Pier,” you’ll find the “Jeju Island Branch.” Qionghai Lake, blue sky and white clouds, lush green grass, and white buildings—every frame looks like a painting. Your friends will be amazed on social media 👍. It feels like a vacation abroad. Order a cup of coffee ☕️, leisurely read a book, feel the breeze, and enjoy the beautiful view outside the window—it’s so comfortable you won’t want to leave!

Day 3️⃣: Experience Yi ethnic culture
Dashiban Village — Lingying Temple

I really love this orange-hued century-old ancient village. It hides Lingying Temple, which is over 500 years old, adding a unique charm to the village. The bright orange walls look stunning under the sunlight. Be sure to change into Yi ethnic costumes for a photo shoot with strong ethnic characteristics. Photos taken by the orange walls and Lingying Temple gate 📷 are very photogenic.

Don’t rush around during this double holiday. Instead of getting stuck on the highway, come to Xichang to soak up the sun, take photos, enjoy delicious food and fun activities without any risk!

⭐️ Tips:
The UV rays are strong during the day. Remember to apply sunscreen, wear sun-protective clothing, and bring sunglasses and an umbrella!
