Hidden Paradise Wanfenglin Guide: Xingyi Wanfenglin - Truly Healing (Pure Practical Tips)

Want to travel during summer vacation but dislike crowded tourist spots?
Prefer a relaxed itinerary with scenic views and photo opportunities 💙
So my friends and I decided to road trip from Changsha to Xingyi ‼️
(After checking guides, we found no direct high-speed train from Changsha to Xingyi unless transferring via Panzhou, which seemed too troublesome.)

✅ Driving from Changsha to Xingyi takes about 12 hours—exhausting if done nonstop 🔥
🙌 So we departed in the morning, drove to Tongren, stayed overnight, and continued to Xingyi the next day. (Tongren's Jiangkou County has Yunshe Village, pics 2 & 3.) The village is serene with few tourists, no entrance fee, and worth exploring. Matcha lovers should try the matcha ice cream and matcha rice wine at "Matcha Collection"—so delicious ‼️

✅ Set off early the next day for Xingyi, driving ~6+ hours with a rest stop for lunch. Stayed at the Mushroom House Hotel 🏨—lucky to snag the last Minions Family Room (with a large bed + round bed for kids). A paradise for children: pool, uniquely designed rooms, balcony, kids' toothbrushes, and a rich breakfast. Super photogenic ‼️

✅ Day 3: The highlight—Wanfenglin!
Two options: with or without tickets ‼️
I tried both. Tickets allow mountain-top views of the village (scenic shuttle: ¥50, or hike if energetic!).
🌟 No-ticket tip: Rent an e-scooter for ¥20/hour 💙 (Skip pricey rentals at General Bridge—drive into the village to rent from locals for better deals 🔥). Nearby is a Coffee Museum; the young guy there was friendly and lent us balloons for free photos ✅
Wanfenglin is incredibly photogenic!
(Eat at Xia Nahui Village—though touristy, meals cost just tens of yuan. Try the ice slurry and beef at Dingsu ✅)

‼️ No need to queue for Huangxiu’s egg fried rice at General Bridge—it’s average. With kids, just pick any spot; waits exceed 30 mins 🙅‍♂️. Post-rain weather is lovely!
👉 Visited Fenglin Buyi at night but heavy rain ruined the vibe. Costume rentals line the street: ¥100/adult, ¥80/child—fixed prices.

Missed paddleboarding due to weather 👀—next time!
On the return trip, we stayed overnight in Tongren and explored Bamian Mountain—stunning views, many campers, especially at night. So relaxing ✅
