My nine-day trip to Guizhou in mid-October was the most unforgettable journey I've ever had.

Guizhou has so many must-see attractions, and the mountain roads are long. If you join a tour group just to 'check in' at spots, not only will you have less freedom, but you'll also get tired easily, which would greatly diminish the experience. So, I decided to customize a private tour with Trip.com.

Fortunately, my travel consultant, Zhang Zhang, knows Guizhou like the back of her hand and communicated patiently, tailoring a nine-day itinerary for my picky self that featured "no backtracking, fewer hotel changes, no early mornings, comfortable car rides, and control over my own time." Just after the Mid-Autumn Festival, the number of tourists significantly decreased, and we almost had the entire autumn scenery of Guizhou to ourselves. Over the nine days, Fanjing Mountain Golden Summit, Zhenyuan Ancient Town, Zhaoxing Dong Village, Libo Xiaoqikong and Daqikong, Basha Miao Village, Tang'an Terraces, Baling River Bridge (Huajiang Bridge was closed, but we saw it from afar), Wanfenglin Scenic Area, Maling River Canyon... all strung together into an unforgettable 1000+ kilometer landscape scroll. The hotels we stayed at were already highly rated, and we even got upgraded for a few nights, which was a series of pleasant surprises. Every day, a travel butler was available on WeChat to recommend attractions and answer all our questions.

I also want to give a big shout-out to our female driver, Liu Li! She has extensive driving experience and excellent skills. The car was clean, odor-free, and the ride was comfortable, safe, and steady. From the sunroof, we could take in the peaks and sea of clouds along the way. The car even became a "live broadcast" on the spot, upgrading our VIP experience, and attracting a lot of attention! 😆

The only minor incident was that I got too excited and fell while climbing on the last day. Xiao Zhang immediately provided remote assistance, quickly helping with the insurance claim and collecting reimbursement documents, even covering the costs, which allowed me to continue my trip abroad with peace of mind. Everyone should still keep a bit of "safety buffer" when traveling; don't get too carried away! 😄

In short, this was a "super VIP-level" in-depth tour of Guizhou, where every penny was spent on the experience. I highly recommend it to friends who don't want to just scratch the surface and hope to save time and effort: customized tours are truly worth it!
