2 Hours from Xining｜Longyangxia is Worth Visiting with Kids Again and Again!

Longyangxia is perfect for family trips, and we're back to check in again! The emerald green water of the upper Yellow River is as calm and clear as jade, and I’m willing to bring the kids here countless times for such a natural classroom!

About a 2-hour drive from Xining, the scenery along the way is beautiful. It’s recommended to have a good breakfast before setting off, and you can prepare some snacks for the kids on the road～

💙First Stop: Longyangxia Grand Canyon

Every visit leaves me amazed! This place is called the "Colorado Grand Canyon of China." The canyon is spectacular with wide-open views, and kids will be amazed too!

The prayer flag area is especially photogenic. Remember to dress the kids in bright colors—super cute!

Afterwards, you can rest at the cliffside café in Haizixi. We stayed nearby before, and the morning mist made it look like a fairyland. Last time, we even saw a flood discharge with rushing water, which excited the kids a lot!

💙Second Stop: Longyang Lake Park

Before playing, have some salmon at Time Café. The environment is great, the food tastes amazing, and kids love it. The restaurant is only 2 minutes from the park, making it super convenient for a family outing!

Longyang Lake Park is even more fun now, with a new petting zoo and children’s playground featuring slides and swings. It’s definitely a treasure spot that gives parents a break!

In the evening, you can stay at Hongliu Manor. The lake view rooms have amazing vistas—you can see the lake right from the window. You can also camp and swing here; it’s so relaxing for the whole family～

💙Third Stop: Earth Forest Geological Park

The earth forest formations are diverse, like natural sculptures. Bring the kids along and explain the geological changes as you walk. When the wind blows, it feels like you can hear echoes from ancient times—this experience is much more vivid than books!

Longyangxia is truly an underrated family destination. Every visit brings new discoveries, and I’ve already planned to bring a friend’s family here next time!
