Jinshan Park Metasequoia Trail in Xuzhou

At the southeast corner of Yunlong Lake is Jinshan Park. Upon arrival, I discovered that the popular metasequoia forest is also located in this park, right on the left side of the park entrance. Since the main goal was the Sugong Tower, I first turned right to climb the small hill with the tower. After coming down, I walked around the lake and finally entered the metasequoia trail from the other end. As soon as I stepped into the metasequoia trail, I was completely amazed: it felt like entering a secret realm where the howling cold wind outside was perfectly blocked, leaving only the warm winter sun and the whispers of autumn. Although the metasequoia forest is just a small patch, it is very neat. The water surface is covered with a thick layer of fallen leaves like a lawn. The slanting sunlight flickers through the forest, brightening the deep yellow trees of late autumn and early winter, making every snapshot look like a magazine cover. I expected it to be just a small roadside forest with a wooden boardwalk, but with the blessing of good weather, the effect far exceeded my expectations. There is definitely some reason why it has become a popular spot!
