Suan Khwan Muang Yala is a sports and recreation center for Yala residents. It is a large public park belonging to the Yala Municipality, spanning 207 rai. This beautiful park was built during the reign of Prime Minister General Prem Tinsulanonda, who presided over the unveiling ceremony of the "Suan Khwan Muang" sign on July 21, 1986. Originally a swampy area, the park was redeveloped into a sports and recreation center for Yala residents. A large pond covering over 69 rai was built, and the surrounding area was decorated to resemble a beach with sand and artificial pine trees. Since Yala is a province without a coastal border, the Yala Municipality came up with this idea to allow Yala residents to experience the artificial seaside atmosphere at this park. Suan Khwan Muang also hosts Java Sparrow singing competitions. For those who enjoy cycling, don't miss the scenic views, especially in the evenings, which are truly breathtaking.
