Fukuoka|Yanagawa River Cruise: Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the castle town and the boatman's skills in the Edo period

When you come to the water town of Yanagawa, how can you not experience a boat ride? During the one-hour journey, you will cross various low and narrow bridges in Yanagawa and enjoy the scenery along the coast.
Yanagawa was a famous castle town in the Edo period. According to tourist information, the total length of the waterway is 930 kilometers, drawing water from the Chikugo River. More than three hundred years ago, it was responsible for functions such as transportation, fire prevention, irrigation, and domestic water supply. It's called Yanagawa, and the weeping willows planted along the riverbank add a touch of green to the early spring.
The boatman will hold a long pole and travel through the crisscrossing rivers, while introducing the city's long and ancient history, such as the seaweed factory and the Tachibana family residence. He will also recite the poems of the famous Yanagawa poet Kitahara Hakushu along the way, or sing a song on the spot using the echo when going under the bridge. The boat will also stop at a convenience store in the middle to experience the 7-11 of the people living by the water. After the whole tour, it was like visiting Disneyland, full of memories.
Use trip to buy the Dazaifu-Yanagawa package ticket, and exchange the ticket at Nishitetsu Station. Because the cruise ship arrives at 2:30, it is recommended to go to Yanagawa first and then visit Dazaifu. The transportation is quite convenient.
