Hailing Island is located in the northern waters of the South China Sea at the southwest end of Yangjiang City, covering an area of ​​105 square kilometers. It is the fourth largest island in Guangdong Province and is known as Guangdong Hawaii. There are national AAAA-level scenic spots on the island - Dajiao Bay, Mawei Island Scenic Area, Shili Silver Beach Scenic Area and Golden Beach Scenic Area. The island is covered with tree-lined trees, the sea bottom is flat, and the water is calm. It is famous for its "Hailing Sunset", which is the best place to watch the sunset. When the sky is filled with colorful clouds at night, many tourists stop here to wait.
Hailing Island also has rich cultural and historical landscapes, such as Taifu Temple, Linggu Temple, ancient fort, Zhenhai Pavilion, Guanyin Pavilion and more than 10 places. Everywhere has a tragic and touching story. The newly developed Maritime Silk Road Museum mainly displays cultural relics salvaged from Song Dynasty merchant ships.
