New Year, go to Yangon "Kandawgyi Lake"

Not far from Shwedagon Pagoda, just cross the road and walk a little bit and you will reach Kandawgyi Lake, which is a lake in the center of Yangon.

There is a teak bridge along the lake. In the evening, the weather is nice and many people come to walk and take pictures.

In the past, there was a hotel by the lake. It was a wooden house with many floors and a balcony with a lake view. It was called Kandawgyi Palace Hotel, but it was burned down several years ago. It was such a pity.

On the other side of the wooden bridge, you can see a swan boat in the distance. That is the famous Karawek Restaurant of Yangon.

I did not eat at this restaurant. But when I came back to Merchant Street, I saw a bakery and beverage shop and went to look. The upper floor is a restaurant. There are also Thai menus. We ordered one or two dishes each. The food was delicious and the price was not expensive.

This restaurant is called FUDO Bakery Ygn Shop 6.
