It's peak season in July and August
Guilin is bustling with crowds everywhere now
Though not every local has time off
A spontaneous weekend escape
Makes for a lovely change of pace
"Stay in a century-old house, chase sunrises and sunsets"
Near Qixian Peak in Yangshuo lies a privileged 100-year-old residence, meticulously restored over 1,001 nights to let you sleep amid landscape paintings under starry skies—a hermit's retreat from ancient times.
Xiaxiang·Mountain Serenity embodies late-Qing dynasty northern Guangxi architecture, built with clay and wood, featuring elegant courtyards that stay warm in winter and cool in summer. This heritage spanning centuries blends seamlessly with nature, half-hidden in the mountains.
The five treasure-shaped peaks symbolize wealth accumulation, with every corner bearing traces of time. Earth bricks, yellow walls, black tiles, and blue bricks were preserved to maintain historical authenticity during restoration.
With only eight uniquely designed rooms, each blends white tones with warm hues—simple yet refined, classically charming—letting you slumber within nature's scroll painting.
Wood-and-brick partitions retain rustic charm while ensuring privacy.
Leisurely afternoons offer both tranquil tea-brewing by the stove and guided hikes to admire Yangshuo's iconic Five-Finger Mountain. Dawn brings sunrise vistas; dusk paints sunset skies—listen to whispering winds and smile at falling petals...
