If you want those postcard-perfect Yangshuo landscapes without the crowds, the east side of the Yulong River is where the magic hides. I biked along narrow country paths, the mountains rising right beside me — so close and so dramatic that it felt like I’d slipped into a traditional Chinese painting. 🎨💚

Here, the river winds quietly between rice fields and tiny villages, bamboo rafts passing by like slow-motion scenes from a movie. No loud tour groups, no rush — just birds, farmers crossing stone bridges, and the steady flow of the water.

• Follow the smaller roads east of Yulong Bridge
• Pick a spot… and just be ✨

I stopped several times just to breathe it in — mountains layered in mist, water mirroring every peak. Sometimes the best views aren’t the famous ones… they’re the ones you stumble upon.
