I spent three days in Yanji and my spending habits have been completely changed.

Yanji, a small border city in eastern Jilin Province, is a hidden gem! The Korean culture, delicious food, and unique urban atmosphere are all impressive.

Must-see attractions:

1. China Korean Folk Village: This place is full of traditional Korean architecture and culture. You can dress in Korean costumes and take photos to experience Korean folk customs.

2. Yanbian University: Not only is it a beautiful university, but the snack street around the campus is also a food paradise with all kinds of Korean snacks.

3. Mao'er Mountain National Forest Park: It is the "back garden" of Yanji, where you can climb the mountain to exercise and overlook the beautiful scenery of Yanji.

4. Chengzi Mountain City Ruins: This is an ancient Goguryeo site where you can feel the strong historical and cultural atmosphere.

5. Burhatong River: The mother river of Yanji, where you can take a walk along the river and enjoy the beautiful river and city views.

6. Yanji West Market: This is one of the largest markets in Yanji, where you can buy all kinds of Korean specialty goods and food.

🍽️ Food recommendations:

• Korean grilled cold noodles: The cold noodles are soft and chewy, paired with unique sauces and side dishes, and taste great.

• Bibimbap: Rich in vegetables and rich in sauce, it is delicious when mixed together.

• Korean spicy cabbage: Sour, spicy, and appetizing, it is a must-have side dish on the Korean table.

• Yanbian cold noodles: The noodles are chewy and the soup is refreshing. Eating a bowl in summer is simply refreshing!

🚗 Transportation:

Yanji has convenient transportation, with a train station and an airport, and you can take a train or plane to get there. For sightseeing in the city, you can choose buses, taxis, or walking; for attractions such as Mao'er Mountain, you can choose to charter a car or take a bus.

🏨 Accommodation:

It is recommended to stay in the city center of Yanji or near Yanbian University, as these two places have convenient transportation and many food and attractions nearby. You can choose Korean-style homestays or hotels to experience Korean culture.

Tips:

• Yanji's food is mainly spicy, so if you can't eat spicy food, remember to tell the owner to put less spicy food in advance.

• When shopping at the West Market, remember to shop around and bargain more.

• The night view of Yanji is very beautiful, and you can choose to go to the Burhatong River or Mao'er Mountain to enjoy the night view.
