Take the kids to Yantai during the May Day holiday,
a city with the sea 🌊 is truly romantic,
bringing kids here is all about taking it slow~
Here are some travel tips to share with everyone (route map at the end)
·
About the itinerary
Day ❶ Relaxed day playing in the sand at Jinsha Beach
·
Day ❷ Citywalk in the urban area
Zhifu Bay Square ➠ Yantai Hill ➠ Chaoyang Street ➠ Suochengli ➠ Hongkou 1920 Cultural Street ➠ Yantai University Snack Street
·
Day ❸ Yangma Island
Morning: Yangma Island circular route (counterclockwise)
Afternoon: Fisherman’s Wharf ➠ Binhai Middle Road
📍 Jinsha Beach: The sand is fine and soft, the sea water is clear, and Golden Sail Square has playground facilities that kids love. Renting an electric scooter to visit various attractions is very convenient, and you can stop anytime to take photos.
·
📍 Lonely Whale: Be sure to come early in the morning when there are fewer tourists.
·
📍 Sky Appointment: Very close to Lonely Whale, a great spot to check in.
·
📍 Love Yantai Chapel: A white chapel on the beach, next to it is a huge book, very photogenic.
·
📍 Housha Square: A glass plank bridge extending over the sea, even more beautiful at sunset.
·
📍 Hongkou 1920: Vintage old houses, Big Apple store, cafes, creative shops, and heart-shaped 💗 street lamps.
·
📍 Chaoyang Street: Like old streets all over the country, it’s a street for eating, drinking, and shopping. It’s very crowded during holidays, so just choose either this or Suochengli.
·
📍 Yantai University Snack Street: Local specialty snacks.
Not recommended for families with kids, not many tasty options 😢
·
📍 Yangma Island: Popular photo spots have long queues, and the path down is difficult to walk, so it’s really unnecessary to bring kids. When the weather is clear, the scenery is beautiful everywhere.
⚠️ On holidays, external vehicles 🚗 are not allowed after 8 AM. It’s more convenient to rent an electric scooter 🛵 outside and ride into the island.
·
📍 Fisherman’s Wharf: Photo spots are near the Fisherman’s Wharf bus stop. To take photos leaning on the seaside stone pier, you must use a telephoto lens. There is also a sea track similar to the one in Spirited Away here.
·
📍 Binhai Middle Road: Navigate to Xincheng North Street bus stop to see the seaside zebra crossing and street lamps similar to those in Kamakura.
Taking photos on the road is a bit dangerous, so not recommended for kids 🉑.
