🏝️Yantai is a city that combines historical culture with coastal scenery.
Day 1: Yantai City Tour
• Morning: Head to Yantai Hill, a landmark attraction featuring consulate buildings, a lighthouse, and the Bing Xin Memorial Hall. You can climb the lighthouse to overlook the coastal views and the entire city.
• Noon: Enjoy local seafood at the nearby Wangjiao Small Fishing Village. Recommended dishes include scallion-braised sea cucumber and seafood dumpling soup.
• Afternoon: Visit the Changyu Wine Culture Museum to learn about the history of Chinese wine and taste fine wines.
• Evening: Go to Haichang Fisherman’s Wharf, a European-style seaside commercial area with a whale shark aquarium and a wooden boardwalk by the sea. Dine at Lijing No.9 Seaview Restaurant while enjoying the ocean view.
Day 2: Penglai Wonderland Tour
• Morning: Explore Penglai Pavilion, the starting point of the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea legend, and one of China’s four great ancient towers alongside Yellow Crane Tower, Yueyang Tower, and Tengwang Pavilion. You can also visit Penglai Water City to experience the ancient military port atmosphere.
• Noon: Taste local specialties near Penglai Pavilion such as mackerel dumplings and sea hemp line buns.
• Afternoon: Visit the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea Scenic Area, surrounded by sea on three sides and shaped like a treasure gourd, featuring sculptures of the Eight Immortals and Wangying Tower. Then explore the Sanshan Mountain Scenic Area, home to three main buildings: Penglai Island, Fanghu Wonderland, and Yingzhou Wonderland, rich in Taoist culture.
• Evening: If visiting in summer, watch the large-scale poetry, music, and dance performance "Penglai Wonderland · Soul of Harmony" at Sanshan Mountain Scenic Area, featuring light shows and musical dance performances.
Day 3: Changdao Scenic Tour
• Morning: Take a ferry from Penglai’s Pengchang Passenger Port to Changdao Island. Upon arrival, visit Jiuzhang Cliff, where the sea-eroded cliffs stretch over 400 meters with nearly 100-meter-high walls, offering spectacular views and a great spot to watch the sunset over the sea.
• Noon: Enjoy fresh seafood at a local fisherman's home on the island.
• Afternoon: Visit Crescent Bay, a rare pebble beach in China with excellent water quality, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Then head to Fengshan Forest Sea; climb Fengshan Mountain to overlook the entire Changdao scenery and see the boundary line between the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea in the sea of clouds.
