A journey through Yantai blending the charm of the sea and the city

The Yantai trip was a harmonious blend of the sea, city, history, and emotions. On the first day, I visited Yangma Island, an island with a serene coastal road and a beautiful blue sea. The beach walk during low tide was particularly relaxing. Next, I explored Penglai Pavilion, an ancient pavilion perched on a cliff. True to its legendary reputation as a place where immortals reside, the grand architecture harmonized beautifully with the sea view. Nearby, the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea Scenic Area featured unique architecture and sculptures themed around the sea and immortal folklore. The horizon viewed from the seaside walkway was especially memorable.

Returning to the city, I explored Suochengli and Chaoyang Street at night, which were lively with bright lights and crowds. Traditional buildings coexisted with modern shops, creating a vibrant nightscape that contrasted with the tranquil atmosphere of the day. The next day, I visited the Time Tower, a viewpoint offering a panoramic view of the sea and city. Following that, I stopped by the Lonely Whale, where the emotional installation art and music by the beach left a lasting impression. Finally, I visited Yantai Mountain Scenic Area, a hilltop park featuring a lighthouse and consulate buildings. It was the perfect conclusion to experience both Yantai's history and its stunning sea views.
