Yeosu Yi Sun-sin Square

Perhaps the most famous figure in Yeosu is General Yi Sun-sin. The main street is named Yi Sun-sin Square, and a large turtle ship is prominently displayed in the center, which must make the locals proud. 😊 🏝

Yi Sun-sin Square is filled with food options, and if you walk a little further, you can see the Yeosu sea. Some people around me say Yeosu is small and doesn’t have much to see, but I actually think there’s so much to explore that even a 2-day trip feels too short.

Although I couldn’t fully enjoy the night sea, I was glad to have seen the beautiful blue ocean during the day.

Yeosu is also home to many delicious crab marinated in soy sauce restaurants, noodle shops, and markets selling fresh gat-kimchi. Don’t forget the adorable Nyangchike cheesecake! To fully enjoy everything, I think I’ll plan for a 3-day, 2-night trip next time. 💪
