Recommended by Yang Chaoyue! Huizhou Scenery and Slow Life

Huazhu·Hongcun Laiyantang is like a hidden retreat that takes you back to the Ming and Qing dynasties! White walls and black tiles paired with a courtyard full of greenery, every snapshot looks like an ancient-style masterpiece. Even my picky mom exclaimed, "This is what a vacation should be."

🛏️ Stay in a Scholar's Study
We stayed in the "Listening to Rain Pavilion" with a stargazing terrace. The room features Huizhou-style wooden beds with smart toilets, and the bedding is made of 60-count cotton! My favorite spot was the tea area by the window, brewing the host’s gifted Huangshan Maofeng tea while watching sunlight paint patterns on the floor through the flower windows...

🍜 Huizhou Cuisine on the Tongue
The breakfast amazed me! Bamboo shoot and shredded pork noodles + mugwort rice cakes + freshly ground soy milk, all served in exquisite blue and white porcelain bowls. When we returned in the evening, we found chilled watermelon and osmanthus cakes on the table—the owner said, "Tired from walking around?" It was so heartwarming.

🐱 Family-Friendly Surprises
The kids found secret friends in the courtyard: a big orange cat that loves to rub against the camera, a singing thrush, and little tree frogs hiding under lotus leaves! The owner specially prepared children’s tableware and picture books.

📌 Nearby Activity Recommendations:
• Turn right as you leave the guesthouse to see the century-old red poplar trees featured in the variety show
• Arrive at Moon Pond before 7 a.m. to capture mirror-like reflections
• Follow the Yixi River upstream to Qishu Lake, with plenty of original photo spots along the way
