Jianqing Historical Trail is located in the Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area in Yilan County, Taiwan. This trail is approximately 0.9 kilometers long and is known for its gentle path and magnificent natural scenery, making it suitable for visitors of all ages. Along the trail, visitors can enjoy lush forests, straight tree lines, and winding railway paths. Especially after prolonged rain, visitors can gaze at the majestic Holy Ridge in the distance, and in the afternoon, the poetic sea of clouds often appears, captivating visitors. The trailhead is located at the 23-kilometer mark of the Taipingshan Yizhuan Line, with wooden benches along the way for visitors to rest and enjoy the natural beauty.
The history of the Jianqing Historical Trail dates back to the logging period in Taipingshan. This trail was originally part of the 'Jianqing Line Logging Railway,' used for transporting timber. As the logging industry declined, this railway gradually fell into disuse. Later, to preserve this history, relevant departments renovated parts of the route into a trail, retaining historical traces such as the railway, wooden horses, and cart axles. This makes the Jianqing Historical Trail not only a natural trail but also a historical one filled with a sense of nostalgia.
