Visiting wineries like Chandon and Yanshi Vineyard is a must—their tasting rooms offer a deep dive into Ningxia’s burgeoning wine culture, with stunning vineyard views as a backdrop.
The local night market is a vibrant highlight, buzzing with energy and packed with stalls serving delicacies like grilled lamb skewers. It’s the perfect spot to sip a cold beer, soak in the lively atmosphere, and pick up fresh fruits or other local produce to take home. For a dose of history, the Xixia Imperial Tomb Museum is essential. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its ancient mausoleums and fascinating exhibits, offers a glimpse into the mysterious Western Xia Dynasty, set against the dramatic Helan Mountains.
