I've found the fairy tale wonderland of Yingde! This chocolate kingdom hidden in Aoyuan Xinhua Town is like a real-life Alice in Wonderland🏰 Not only is admission completely free, but you can also get snacks from the butler, and every photo looks like a European town masterpiece~
✨ Stunning photo spots
- Dream Castle panoramic view: Walk 100 meters east from the sales office stamp area to the fountain plaza, where you can capture the entire castle and hot air balloons in one frame. On sunny days, the blue sky and white clouds reflecting in the fountain pool are amazing.
- Sunset corridor: From 4 to 6 PM, golden sunlight shines through the arched corridor. Wearing a light-colored dress and twirling for photos looks super fairy-like.
- Night light show: The castle lighting at 7:30 PM every day is spectacular. The best viewing spot is on the lawn in front of Villa No. 12.
🏨 Accommodation tips:
We stayed in Villa 14 with a hot spring, perfect for family trips! You can see the castle lights from the balcony, and the butler brings welcome fruit. Although the room is a bit dated, it offers great value at around 200+ RMB per person, including:
✔️ Private hot spring pool (recommended after 10 PM for the perfect starlight + castle view)
✔️ Free barbecue grill (bring your own ingredients, available at the town supermarket)
✔️ Pet-friendly (an extra 100 RMB cleaning fee applies for pets)
📌 Practical tips:
1. Hidden benefit: Show your Trip.com order at the sales center to redeem a chocolate workshop experience voucher.
2. Transportation: 1.5 hours drive from Guangzhou, navigate to "Aoyuan Xinhua Town Villa 14," plenty of parking available.
3. Must-bring items: Mosquito repellent! Sun hat/umbrella (outdoor areas are quite sunny), and a friend who can take great photos!
The chocolate factory experience is now open too. Watching the chocolate being made on the assembly line is super soothing~ We recommend visiting after 4 PM for a more comfortable experience. We spent a full 12 hours enjoying food, photos, and hot springs without getting tired!
