During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, I just checked in at Yunqi Moye Resort in Yingde, and I was really captivated by this healing-style guesthouse hidden among the karst peaks! The high-ceiling lobby with a full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows lets the slanting sunlight in, making it perfect to sit on the bean bag and daydream while capturing stunning light and shadow photos🌤️
📌 Location and Transportation
· The guesthouse is tucked among the karst peak forests in Huanghua Town, known as the "Little Guilin of Guangdong," about a 2.5-hour drive from Guangzhou
· It’s recommended to set your GPS to "No. 66, Pengtang Village"; near the guesthouse, there’s a rural path flanked by endless sugarcane fields
· About a 15-minute drive to attractions like Dongtian Wonderland and Peak Forest Town
✨ Design Aesthetics
· Overall style is wabi-sabi mixed with Lingnan elements, featuring natural wood furniture and cotton-linen textures
· Must-shoot spots: the lobby’s spiral staircase (sunny days create light spot projections), infinity pool reflecting the peak forest
· Rooms have smart floor heating, bathrooms equipped with volcanic stone soaking tubs, perfect for stargazing while bathing at night
🏞️ Recommended Scenic Room Type
· Booked the "Qishan" king bed room, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the peak forest, where morning mist drifts like an ink painting
· Thoughtfully prepared aromatherapy and bath salts by the bathtub; the housekeeper brings a goodnight sweet soup during your soak
· A surprise on the bedside table—a Bluetooth speaker loaded with a white noise playlist
🎪 Special Activities
· Evening bonfire party with roasted sweet potatoes (dug up fresh by the housekeeper!)
· Pre-book to experience farm picking; we picked lychees and longans
· Fireworks on the rooftop terrace at night, a must-visit for couples
🍽️ Food Experience
· Breakfast rice rolls are made from stone-ground rice batter
· Recommended to try steamed fresh fish from the Beijiang River, paired with the landlady’s homemade huangpi wine
· The afternoon tea pandan cake uses local pandan leaves
💡 Practical Tips
1. Best time to shoot the pool is 4-5 PM when the light is softest
2. Remember to ask the housekeeper to guide you to the orchard during lychee season in June
3. Nearby Jiulong Town’s lotus flowers bloom in July, great for combined trips
4. The guesthouse offers Hanfu rental, perfect for ancient-style photos with oil-paper umbrellas
We stayed for two days, spending every day soaking in the pool, eating farmhouse dishes, and drinking tea facing the peak forest—completely reluctant to leave~If you want to escape the city noise, this place is definitely a no-brainer!
