Confirming the reputation of Japan's three largest Chinatowns: Yokohama Chinatown

March 2018 #YokohamaTravel

#Yokohama, which I thought of as just a place for a trip near Tokyo!! It was such an attractive travel destination in itself. It was enough to make me want to explore more.

The first place I visited was #YokohamaChinatown. Along with Kobe and Nagasaki, it is called #Japan's 3rd largest Chinatown, so it was a must-visit place for me, a self-proclaimed pro-Chinese traveler. Also, when I arrived in Yokohama after leaving Tokyo, it was time for lunch.

Anyway, when I entered Chinatown, I could feel that it was not a street that was intentionally created, but that the Chinese who settled here actually lived there for a long time and were well-integrated with Japanese culture. It was because it had a Chinese feel overall, but if you look closely, there were Japanese elements mixed in detail.

First of all, of all the Chinatowns I've been to, this one had the most visitors, the most restaurants and shops, and was the most active Chinatown. Thanks to that, I had a positive first impression of the city of Yokohama.
