The red leaves at Pofengling are truly beautiful

The red leaves at Pofengling are truly beautiful.
The reputation of Pofengling's red leaves is well-deserved; the appraisal by China Geography Magazine is absolutely authoritative!
Today is October 18th, and the leaves have already turned quite red. The descent route is even more beautiful, especially the path from Yunhu to the century-old Huanglu tree—it's the best view!
I originally searched for hiking tracks on Erbuluo but didn’t need them. Following the guide, I navigated to the Huangyuansi Village bus stop. Before arriving, the scenic area had already started organizing routes and directly guided us to Parking Lot No. 1. It was just past 8 o’clock, and the shuttle buses were already in place. Once a bus is full, it takes visitors near the scenic entrance, providing free shuttle service. Entering the peak season for red leaf viewing, this system works well with orderly traffic management and no congestion.
The shuttle drops you about 300 meters from the scenic entrance, where there is a rural market with various local specialties and snacks. If you haven’t eaten breakfast, you can buy some here—egg-stuffed pancakes, crepes, and more. The scenic area is well-equipped with restaurants and coffee shops, which have a fresh and charming vibe! The altitude is quite low; the sign on the uphill path shows 3200 meters, but it feels easy to walk. For those who can’t walk, there’s a cable car. Kids can play around Yunhu on the way down, where there are fountains, a large lawn, and swings—perfect for younger children.
On the way up, I met an elderly man selling wild honey, which was quite tasty, so I bought two small bags for 30 yuan. The entrance ticket is 50 yuan for adults and 25 yuan for children. Parking cost 20 yuan for less than 7 hours.
Although the leaves aren’t fully red yet, the colors have great depth—green, light green, yellow-green, yellow, orange, red... The mountain looks like a palette with various color blocks, which is also very beautiful! A happy day!
